Knowing that I could scale the workouts to my ability made me feel comfortable and confident.
My exercise background was fairly basic, and very heavily based on martial arts. When I went on to study at college I found very little time to maintain much exercise in my daily routine.
What motivated me to start training was the fact I was earning enough money to support that lifestyle choice, as well as my work being conveniently close to the gym. I had always wanted to train beforehand – I found Fortitude through my brother’s connection to the establishment.
My first thoughts were that I was glad I could make my own pace through the class sessions (even in the tougher sessions like Fortifit). I like so many others was afraid to join the gym, because I thought I might slow the class down. Knowing that I could scale the workouts to my ability made me feel comfortable and confident.
I have been training for four months. What I have achieved in that time is a noticeable change in physique, and I’m much better at cardio. I now look forward to attending the gym.
