Our mission is to change perceptions, remove intimidation and improve the quality of the gym-going experience.

Established in 2017, we are a fitness community that provides sustainable, progressive and most importantly, enjoyable training that changes people’s lives.

We offer coach-led group training programmes which provide effective solutions to a variety of fitness goals.

Imagine participating in a fitness programme where all you need to do is simply show up, everyone knows your name and you’re in a place where you get to work with coaches who have a genuine interest in what you do, who you are and where you want to go.

Here is what our members say

“In the last 8 months I’ve managed to lose nearly 20kg; I feel amazing. It’s not been easy, but I have done it with the support of the staff at Fortitude and all the amazing people in the fitness community there”. – Simon G

“It was refreshing to join a community where girls are encouraged to do weights and where nobody is judged on ability or clothing. When I joined the gym, I had little self-belief but training at Fortitude has had a positive impact on my ability to see challenges positively and develop my mental grit to overcome them.” – Laura T

“I can’t believe what an impressive asset we have in Fortitude for the people of Lydney and the Forest of Dean. I was bowled over by the warmth of the welcome and the time everyone took to work through my questions – I’d found a really natural, friendly, human experience.” – Patrick J
